Position Overview We are seeking a Part-Time Physiatrist (Outpatient Services) to provide high-quality, rehabilitation-focused care in our outpatient setting. This role is ideal for a physician passionate about improving functional outcomes, managing chronic conditions, and enhancing quality of life through coordinated, ambulatory care.
Responsibilities As a Physiatrist in our Outpatient Services, you will: - Provide comprehensive outpatient physiatric evaluations and follow-up care
- Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional impairments in an ambulatory setting
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Collaborate closely with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other outpatient providers
- Perform and/or oversee non-surgical interventions as appropriate (e.g., injections, pain management strategies)
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record
- Support care coordination and smooth transitions between inpatient, SNF, and outpatient services
THIS POSITION IS Part-time, 5.0 FTE 17.5 HRS PER WEEK Minimum Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Active New York State medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Experience or strong interest in outpatient rehabilitation and ambulatory care
- Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based practice
